Medical Plans Overview: Option Health Care Plans


Enrolling in Options Health Care

Eligibility

  • The plan is available to current Washington Realtors members working 20 or more hours per week and their dependents.
  • Waiting periods for new employees and associates enrolling as part of an employer group is determined by each individual employer, but must be at least 30 days and applied uniformly within the group.
  • Eligible members of the Association, who have previously waived the opportunity to participate, are allowed to enroll during the annual open enrollment period, scheduled for April of each year.
  • When a "qualifying event" is used as the basis for an out-of-cycle enrollment, proof of the qualifying event will be requested.


Initial Enrollment

An Options Enrollment Form follows these instructions.

You may print the enrollment form off of the W.R. Website using Adobe Acrobat Reader, click the button below, print the form, complete your information and mail the form, with a check for the first month's premium, to Benefit Consultants Northwest, 1717 W. Francis, Suite 108, Spokane, WA 99205. Be sure to indicate on your enrollment form whether you desire the $1,000 Deductible Plan, the $3,000 deductible plan, or the $3,000 Deductible Plan with nor Rx. The check should be made out to BCNW, which is the premium billing administrator for the WR association medical group.

Recurrent Monthly Billing

  • BCNW acts as the premium billing administrator for the Washington Realtors Options health plan. Monthly premium checks are made payable to BCNW.
  • Monthly statements for premium will be mailed to each individual subscriber.
  • Statements can be sent either to your home or office, your choice. If your employer is paying for the coverage, please request that we send the statement to your office.
  • Like most medical insurance, this is a prepaid plan. Therefore statements for a particular month's premium will be mailed to the individual approximately 25 days prior to that month and are due to BCNW approximately 15-20 days after the date of the statement.

Monthly Rate Determination and Changes

This is an age-rated product. Rates for the plan year (April 1 - March 31) are constant and based on your age at enrollment for new members and your age on April 1 thereafter.
